Round Cats-Eye Labradorite Cabochon

This round, high-dome, labradorite cabochon measures approximately 13.00 × 8.25 mm, and weighs 12.35 CT. This cabochon features a rare striking cat's eye effect, not usually seen in labradorite, formed by a shimmering silver band of metallic glittery micro-inclusions. As the stone moves, this distinct silver line glides beautifully across the dark base, creating a brilliant and dynamic cats-eye like effect. The overall colour of this stone is a dark chocolate brown to grey blue depending on the viewing angle.

Ethically sourced and cut in Canada, the Labradorite comes from the Nain region of northern Labrador, the original discovery area for this iconic feldspar. This cabochon is a beautiful example of true Labrador labradorite, perfect for jewellery or a collector seeking material from the stone’s namesake region.
