This beautiful amethyst specimen originates from Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, and was hand-dug by local prospector Josh March. It features a rich deep purple tip, with a soft pink glow, and hundreds of small spheroidal inclusions, which are likely goethite, limonite and hematite. The surface of this crystal contains natural growth hillocks and etch hillocks, also known as record keepers.
This specimen fits perfectly in the palm of your hand and could be kept as a specimen in a collection or used as lapidary rough. The tips of these crystal tend to host nice faceting or cabbing rough.
