This stunning round cabochon features rich, brick-red Canadian jasper, expertly shaped from rough material sourced in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. The original rough was discovered by local prospector Josh March as a beach boulder, allowing for easy and non-destructive collection.
Because the material was found randomly and its original source remains unknown, it may be quite rare.
This stone has been carefully cut in Canada by Fireweed Minerals into a cabochon weighing 8.50 carats and measuring 13.5 × 4.75 mm.
