This round polychrome, orbicular, picture jasper (Jupiter Jasper) is cut from material collected in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada by local prospector Josh March. These stones offer a unique glimpse into the rugged geological beauty of Atlantic Canada. Their provenance make them an exceptional choice for a one-of-a-kind jewelry piece with a story to tell.

The stone feature a sophisticated, earthy palette of muted terracotta, brown, beige, mauve, pink, grey-blue, and warm cream banding, forming an out of this world, Van Gogh style painting, reminiscent of a dreamy mountainous extraterrestrial looking landscape. On the back side of this stone is another captivating landscape scene including black-metallic (hematite) dendrites, that look like scraggly pine trees.

This cabochon measures approximately 28.0 x 7.0 mm and weighs 52 CT. This cabochon has been stabilized.
