Oval Corundum-Sapphire Cabochon

This elegant oval corundum cabochon from Canada features deep purple-magenta tones. Under UV light, the stone fluoresces vividly, highlighting its ruby-rich zones and the matrix inclusions. A striking and colourful piece suitable for collections or jewellery.

The ruby material originates from Hopedale, Newfoundland and Labrador, where it was ethically and hand-mined by local prospector Edmund Saunders. This cabochon was cut here in Canada.
