This elegant teardrop-shaped fossilized coral cabochon showcases soft grey to cream tones highlighting beautifully preserved hexagonal coral cells, each subtly outlined and naturally varied, creating a gentle, organic texture across the surface. The stone takes a smooth, matt polish that enhances the fossil pattern without overpowering its natural character. The coral is from the Devonian period, when much of Ontario was covered by a warm, shallow sea.
This specimen was collected from the shores of Lake Huron, Ontario, Canada, and carefully cut and polished to preserve the integrity of the fossil structure. The cabochon is well suited for wire-wrapping, pendants, or collection display.
