Oval Labradorite Cabochon

This oval labradorite cabochon measures 24.00 × 13.05 x 6.20 mm, and weighs 16.10 CT. The stone exhibits bright electric blue labradorecent flashes, along with a soft needle-glitter-lattice aventurescence that sweeps across the stone in a catseye like manner. The over body color of the stone is a rich dark brown colour, making it perhaps more sunstone leaning.

Ethically sourced and cut in Canada, the Labradorite comes from the Nain region of northern Labrador, the original discovery area for this iconic feldspar. This cabochon is a beautiful example of true Labrador labradorite, perfect for jewellery or a collector seeking material from the stone’s namesake region.
