These two beautiful Canadian amethyst cabochons are cut from rough sourced from Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. The material was originally found by local prospector Josh March, as a damaged amethyst point and has since been cut and polished, here in Canada. The set includes two cabochons:
One round 9.35 CT, high-dome cabochon measuring 12.15 × 7.15 mm, with magenta and blue tones depending on the lighting type. This cabochon also has a few inclusions of goethite, hematite and a natural fracture.
One round 3.80 CT, high-dome cabochon measuring 8.15 x 6.5 mm, that is bright and glassy with excellent clarity.
Together they total 13.25 carats. Both cabochons have a polished back. These cabochons have a calm, minimalist look that suits wire wrapping, bezel settings, talismans, or collectors who appreciate natural Canadian amethyst.
