Purple Corundum-Sapphire Cabochon

This striking round cabochon, cut from Hopedale corundum-sapphire, showcases vivid natural hues ranging from deep red to violet-purple. The ruby is captured in its natural host rock and was hand-dug by local prospector Edmund Saunders.

The corundum-bearing sections of the cabochon fluoresce vividly under ultraviolet light.
