This beautiful corundum specimen containing both ruby and sapphire is from Hopedale, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. Hand-dug by local prospector Edmund Saunders, this piece showcases vivid natural hues ranging from deep red to purple and icy light blue feldspar.
Under ultraviolet light, the specimen glows with a striking fluorescence, highlighting the specimens ruby-rich zones.
This is the most impressive and visually captivating Hopedale corundum specimen received to date, a true collector’s piece.
